jack of the mirror its really cool to see what stomach book was before it was stomach book. you can very clearly hear the pieces of the puzzle being put together here before the self-titled debut.

overall, its a great album. a companion piece, perhaps. but mostly, a overall enjoyable album. Favorite track: whereupon, they passed on a short day (waste it).

chorus the world keeps turning undiscerning so I'm dancing down by the lake and i'll look at the moon every night hoping that it comes crashing down upon us verse1 many changes panicked faces manic bodies tango they wait at the railway but the a train left the station wine is quite alright in spite of nighttime brake lights flickering smell reminds me swells behind compels me I am losing my mind once again! goodnight! it's not your fault (all in all) i will waltz into the pale moonlight

prechorus i know someday i know someday you'll find me chorus and i'll be waiting I'll be on I'll be waiting I'll be on verse 1 dust particles float in sunbeams it all seems so surreal sleeping in an automobile it feels just like a dream im stopping people on the street you have to look at this up into the starry abyss more world than we can see verse 2 water ripples away from a rock what a pleasant sound wind blows scattered leaves all around i feel inside my socks final chorus our time is so short so let's waste it our time is so short let's waste it together but the sound of your voice, i hear it now come home come home come home come home come

chorus when smiles fade we'll collapse to the floor and the new year's parade plays a drunken encore when smiles fade and our last kiss gives me the taste of despair, wooaaah verse 1 decimate isolate speculate featherweight given names picture frames laying claim all the same bellyflop coffee shops malaprop take a hop come upon helicon whereupon our names will be drawn verse2 decorate hesitate inundate featherweight medicate syncopate strangulate mental state open doors carnivores heretofore anymore cover for twenty four uncared for prisoners of war

song 101 02:30
i feel we're getting older it seems only yesterday weight was kind to our shoulders soon it will be my birthday and I'll sit at the table everyone so disappointed and I'll say sorry i wasnt able to do what other boys did I watched a good movie and didnt know what to do so i wrote 100 songs and asked my friends, "what does this mean to you?" i like to think that someday it will be my grandson's birthday and his grandson will see our trees and plant his own seeds
7.
prechorus oh, i just i just can't bear it! chorus are you hiding there? dragging on still upon the downbeat? are you sleeping there? dont you know? you know it's not that deep verse 1 searching for patterns for meaning surely all of this means something too many details to notice it's just out of grasp i know this verse2 it's all too absurd to exist yet, still so empty I don't get it so big and so grand yet so small so fleeting and short yet so long

chorus oh, and it's not that you should care, I just wanted you to know I didn't think I'd go this easily verse 1 dont know how anyone can live this kinda way a little give a little take when I think of all the little tiny things "you know those cigarretes are gonna murder you someday" well they can wait their turn, i got a feeling that's the least of my concerns the more i try to describe it the more vague it tends to get we try to forgive we try to forget dreams are real only to the one who's dreaming them "you know those cigarettes are gonna murder you someday" you know I hope they do, it might not be as bad as what I'm goin through verse 2 now and then I try to mournfully dissolve problems arise problems are solved i'd appreciate it if you didn't get involved "you know you've been a little better lately" if you only knew I'd apologize for walking out on you

about

this album was created over three or four months between homes, in my car, in an attic, and many other places after i went on medical leave from college and really had nowhere to call home. i think it's a more authentic image of myself than previous works. i hope that this album speaks to you in some way.

I was hesitant to release this at such a turbulent and uncertain time in our history, but i think its important for artists to use their art for the greater good. That's why every dollar earned from CAT SOUP will go to the Black Visions Collective. thank you all so much for giving me a chance. i love you.
